Review: To Kill A Mockingbird
“Langford captures a multitude of aspects of Mayella on the stand. She is shaky even when she is being sworn in, and appears like a deer in the headlights while being questioned. From there, she becomes frantic and confused, eventually erupting into a state of shouting and crying. Her entire story plays out on her face, and her fear and guilt are palpable.”
To Kill A Mockingbird at Gloucester Stage
Teresa will be doubling as Mayella Ewell and Mrs. Dubose in Gloucester Stage’s To Kill A Mockingbird!
The timeless American classic, To Kill a Mockingbird explores civil rights and racism in the segregated South of the 1930s. Seen through the eyes of 10 year old Scout Finch, the trial of a black man unjustly accused of rape plays out. Scout is an observant, quiet girl, who forms her own opinions about the heated court proceedings as her attorney father, Atticus, struggles to prove the innocence of the accused. The stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel is brought to life by skilled director Judy Braha.
Chamber Music by Arthur Kopit (World Premiere New Ending)
Teresa is now playing the WOMAN WITH GAVEL in Arthur Kopit’s Chamber Music directed by Emily Moler! For the past few weeks, the team has collaborated with the Pulitzer Prize winning (and three-time Tony nominated) playwright, on a World Premiere new ending for his legendary piece. We are so excited to share!!
In Arthur Kopit’s Chamber Music, eight women gather inside an Asylum to discuss the imminent attack they face from the mens ward. The women are or at least believe themselves to be eight famous figures from history: Gertrude Stein, Susan B. Anthony, Joan of Arc, Queen Isabella I, Osa Johnson, Pearl White, Constanze Mozart, and Amelia Earhart.
This production sheds new light on Kopits absurdist play and features a never before seen ending contributed by Kopit himself. Performed in the basement of a church, join us in this immersive, site-specific production of Chamber Music.
Dave Malloy's Beardo (2017 Drama Desk Nominee, Best Music - Dave Malloy)
Teresa will be making her Off-Broadway debut in Dave Malloy’s new musical, Beardo directed by Ellie Heyman at Pipeline Theatre Company!
Beardo is a Russian indie rock musical from the outrageous minds that brought us Beowulf – A Thousand Years of Baggage and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. This New York premiere explodes the mad inner workings of Rasputin, the infamous mystic who sexed his way to the fall of the Russian monarchy.
